It's time for another NOTD post. This time, I'm wearing a High Definition Polish from Sally Hansen called DVD.
You know, I just noticed that almost every nails of the day post is of me wearing a Sally Hansen Polish. I'll have to make sure in my next NOTD that I'm wearing another brand. If you have any suggestions on colors or brands to try, or have some sort of nail art tutorial you'd like to see, leave me a comment below :)
Here, I'm wearing polish #15 DVD, which is a pretty, duochrome of sparkles, changing from blue to teal and purple. It has tons of sparkles that change in the light, which I think is gorgeous.
I'm wearing four coats of DVD. Yeah, four coats, so you think it'd be more opaque, but it still a little bit sheer. I'd recommend layering this over another polish. I'm pretty sure it will look amazing over a black. I have to mention that when wearing four coats of this polish, it gets a little thick. Even though I used a coat of Seche Vite on-top of this polish, I found that it peeled off in sheets rather than chipping. So stick to using this polish for layering, and if you don't like to layer, I'd say skip this one.
Who will like this polish?
-Those who love duochrome and/or shimmer
-Fans of Purples, Blurples, Blues, Teals
-Those who like layering their polishes to create new shades and effects
Who won't like this polish?
-Those who dislike thin polishes
-Those who aren't a fan of sparkle
-People who don't like the layering idea
What do you think of this nail polish? Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen HD polishes? Leave a comment below and let us know what you think.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to check back later for more nails of the day posts.
