Wet N Wild Matte Lipstick Swatches, Picture, Review

I randomly swatched three of my Wet N Wild matte lipsticks and decided to take some pictures to show everyone. I have a few more, but these were the lucky three I grabbed at random. One is a hot pink, baby pink and an orange-toned red.

First of all, I love these lipsticks. The pigmentation is so amazing and they are only $3 each. The finish is a matte creme, which is one of my favorite kinds of lipsticks. They can be a bit drying since they are a matte formula and tug slightly on the lips, but I've found if you warm them a bit, they won't tug at all. Also, if you wear a lip balm underneath and/or a gloss on top, this should solve any drying issues you may have.

The light pink shade has slight blue undertones and is really pretty, but it will show the lines in your lips very easily. Make sure you have them exfoliated prior to wearing it and a lip balm is a must with this shade since it is both light and matte.

Wet N Wild 909D (the flash turned it more blue red
but it's an orange red.)
The orangey/coral red shade is perfect for late spring and summer. Orange lipsticks are very in this year. A tip for pulling off red lipsticks during the daytime is to pair it with a neutral toned eye. Daytime makeup is best with one focal point, so wearing reds with smokey eyes creates a sort of competition between the eyes and lips and will make it appears as though you are wearing too much makeup, especially for the daytime. During the night is when you are more likely to be able to pull-off a toned down smokey eye with a red lip. Of course you can wear whatever you want, these are just tips.

The hot pink is very bold, but with a bit of deepness. If you've always wanted to wear a hot pink but find they look too bright on you, a more deep hot pink such as this may be the solution. One way to ease into a hot pink shade is start by lightly dabbing the lipstick on which will create more of a stained effect rather having complete coverage. You can gradually build the lipstick up to see where your limit is or you can try adding just a bit more each day until you are comfortable with a full coverage hot pink.

If you'd like to see swatches of the other Wet N Wild Matte lipsticks I have, just comment below and let me know. One of the shades is a nude which can be viewed on my dupe comparisons of viva glam gaga ii. It isn't an exact dupe, but it is really similar. I know I also have another red, a berry toned color, a darker mauve pink, a peach and a maybe a couple more.

Have you tried any of the Wet N Wild Matte Lipsticks? If so what do you think of them and which are your favorites? If not, do you want to try them? leave a comment below and let us know.

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to subscribe/follow. : )

The light pink is soooo pretty! I've been wanting to try them but when I went to Wal-Mart to get my hands on them recently, they were gone. I don't know if they have been discontinued or what... )=

@GABY Aw, sorry. They aren't discontiued though, your walmart must have just stopped carrying them because they're still in several different stores here.
