Too Faced Natural Eye Kit Swatches, Pictures & Review

The Too Faced Natural Eye Kit comes with nine natural eyeshadows and a dual applicator. The company claims that this set creates the most universally flattering eyeshadow look for any woman and for almost any occasion. The pure-pigmented eyeshadow formula blends effortlessly and keeps color intense and in-place all day long.

I think my favorite thing about the kit is the variety of looks you can make, even though all the shades somewhat 'natural.' All the colors will work well together and you can create looks from natural to smokey. Yes, you can even apply a warm smokey eye with the 'natural' eye kit. And since the shadows blend so easily, it makes the smokey eye process almost a breeze.

The kit comes with three directional cards on how to create a classic daytime look, a more dramatic look, and a fashion look. Each card tells you step-by-step how to apply each shadow to achieve the desired look with the shades provided. This is great for makeup beginners who may not know which shades to combine or the girl on-the-go who does not have time to match colors together to create a particular look.

Another plus of these beautiful shadows is the texture and pigmentation. The shadows all have a buttery-like texture, especially the matte shadows. I honestly think Too Faced has the creamiest matte shadows of any brand I've tried. The pigmentation is also top-notch. Just a single, extremely lite pat of the brush will provide enough color to cover your entire lid, with the darker shades being the most pigmented of the group. And the wonderful thing about this is you will use less of your eyeshadow, which will run-out less quickly than less pigmented shadows.

There is a variety of finishes in the kit. Matte shades, satin, shimmer and one glittery shade can all be found in this palette. In my opinion, the glittery shade is the only 'semi-fail' of all the shadows. The glitter is too loose, so it will end up falling onto your face if not applied to a sticky base. The texture of the glitter shade is also not as lovely as the other shadows. However, all of the other shadows in the kit are so great, I don't mind having to work with the overly glittery shade.

The Too Faced Natural Eye Kit is also very easy to use. The shadows are set-up in rows, the first and largest shade being the lid color, the second shade is the crease and the third shade is the outer corner or liner shade. Of course, you do not have to follow the directions and can combine any shadows together for your own original looks.

Shades include: Heaven (matte ivory), Velvet Revolver (matte taupe), Sexspresso (matte deep brown), Silk Teddy (peach champagne shimmer), Push-Up (light bronze shimmer), Erotica (soft charcoal shimmer), Nude Beach (champagne shimmer with gold glitter), Honey Pot (gold shimmer), Cocoa Puff (warm chocolate brown shimmer).
