How-To Adam Lambert SAG Awards Makeup 2011

I've come to realize that I've never written an article for my blog on makeup for men and who better represent my first men's makeup post than Adam Lambert. His makeup look for the 2011 Screen Actor's Guild Awards is a nice shimmery smokey eye, which can be worn by men and women. If you'd like to see how Adam's makeup would look on you, here's how to duplicate it.

*Apply a tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone.
*Use a bronzer one-to-two shades darker than your skin tone to contour your cheekbones. Start where the top of your ear connects to your face and sweep it downward underneath the cheekbone.

It's hard to see exactly which shades of eyeshadow he has from this picture, but it appears to be a dark charcoal shade. So apply the color all over the eyelid and blend it out really well - his shadow is faded as it goes up. Line the top and bottom lashes with a dark black eyeliner. Make the liner on the bottom fairly thick and apply the color to your water-line as well. I suggest using Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Oilslick. Then apply a black shadow with blue shimmer over the bottom liner, such as Medusa Eye Dust in Helter Skelter. Not only does this add the shimmer like Adam's, but it will help keep your eyeliner from smudging as easily.
Finally, apply a coat or two of your favorite black mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Apply a clear lip balm and now you're done! : )
