Hard Candy Primer

Hard Candy has recently hit the shelves of most Wal-Mart stores. While browsing through my store's tiny collection, the Sheer Envy Primer caught my eye. I've only tried one other primer, the Rimmel Fix and Perfect, which gave my skin a weird tone, so I wanted to try something new.

First off, I have to say, do not by this primer if you have oily skin. After wearing it for only an hour, my face looked like it was peeling all over. The peeling was not my skin, but the primer mixing with my makeup and forming a scaley look around my nose, eyebrows, forehead, and chin. I think the cause of the primer 'slippage' may have been caused by my oily skin, but I really do not if it will have this effect on everyone.

There is a pro. After first applying the primer, it makes the skin feel very smooth, silky and soft, which allows the foundation to spread seamlessly and look much more smooth than without the primer. However, this smooth look did not last for long.

As far as staying power, it did help my foundation stay on longer, but i assume that is because all the foundation was running down into the scaley patches.

I think my opinion on this primer is clear. I do not like the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, and I would not recommend this to anyone.
