China Glaze Up & Away

Hello everyone! I finally received my assortment of China Glaze polishes from the Up & Away collection. For the collection, what you see is what you get. The color you see in the bottle is exactly what it looks like on your nails, and all of these polishes are creme based.

Surprisingly, even the light pastel colors only require two coats for a full opaque finish. The formulas of these colors also seem to be quite thick compared to a lot of the other china glazes. The pro from this is of course the coverage, the con being you have to work rather fast at painting the nails because it dries quickly and can get clumpy or uneven if not spread in a timely manner.

Four Leaf Clover is a really bright, almost neon, turquoise green, while Flyin' High is a much more blue based turquoise.

Re-Fresh Mint, Light As Air, and Something Sweet are all very similar pastel colors. However, Re-Fresh Mint has the green minty undertone, Light As Air has the lilac undertones, and Something Sweet has the very light pink undertones.

Peachy Keen is also a pastel, but is a little darker than the other pastels. It is a light peachy orange color. Sugar High is a very bright, yet soft, pink. Heli-Yum is a raspberry pink with a purple undertone, and Grape Pop is a muted bright plumy purple.

Not pictured, but also in the Up & Away collection, High Hopes is a reddish pink with an orange undertone. Happy Go Lucky is a bright true yellow color, and Lemon Fizz is a pastel light yellow.

I have to say I am really loving these colors. I passed on High Hopes, Happy Go Lucky, and Lemon Fizz because I already have really similar colors for these.

China Glaze is available at many beauty supplies stores, such as Sally's. They are also available at discount prices on
