This new set from Tarte looks amazing. Tons of shadows, a blush, finishing powder, lip gloss, mascara and more! This is on my wish list. There are so many gorgeous set coming out for the Holiday season and it will be tough to pick out the select few to buy. The Carried Away Set is definitely a great set and good value for all the products you are getting. The shadows do look similar to other Tarte Palettes, but I've never bought a holiday palette from Tarte before, so I think for me, it'd be worth it. Can't wait to check out swatches of the Tarte Carried Away Collector's set!

What do you think of the new Kat Vond D Starry Eyes Makeup Set? I love how the packaging is always so pretty for the Kat Von D products and I love how she sticks to her roots and decorates them with tattoo art. 
I think it is a cute little set. I'm more excited about the pencil set myself, so I will probably skip this one. However if you are looking for a nice eyeshadow set, Kat Von D is know for having some great shadows and this set is a great value for all the colors you are getting, plus the lip products. If any one gets the Kat Von D Starry Eyes Makeup Set and has swatches, let me know. I'd be interesting in seeing how the shadows turn out!

What do you think of the new NYX Nude Matte Shadows? I know the pictures look very similar since they are all supposed to be neutral shades. But if you look closely, you can see the different undertones and shades. In person, I know they will look much different.  

I can't wait to try these out. I love matte shadows and these are all so wearable. Mattes are great for natural looks and for smokey eyes as well. I'm so pale that there will be plenty of options for a smokey eye for me in this collection haha : ) I'll be sure to do swatches of the new NYX Nude Matte Shadows as soon as I find them! They are up on Ulta now, but you can't purchase them just yet. They are only $4.99! I Love that NYX has such low prices, but great quality!

ELF Mineral Facial Cleanser - ELF Skin Care?? New Spring 2012

Hey everyone! ELF has just put up a new product in their mineral line called the Mineral Facial Cleanser! Is ELF going to create an entire skin-care line? That's pretty cool if they do create a line. My guess is they may be testing the waters with this product and see how it goes. 

ELF Mineral Facial Cleanser 

Here's some information on the new ELF Mineral Face Cleanser! 

• "Indulge your skin in rich cleansing moisture for a noticeably brighter and smooth complexion. The water-activated, powder based cleanser works to clean and exfoliate the skin for a beautiful healthy glow. Infused with active minerals and skin nourishing ingredients Aloe, Green Tea, Jojoba Avocado and Vitamin E, this gentle and calming cleanser revitalizes skin for a younger looking feel. " 

• To use, "Moisten your hands and face with water then pour a small amount of the cleanser powder onto hands. Activate by rubbing hands together to create a light lather. Gently massage over the face and neck and rinse thoroughly. Use morning and night or as often as desired."

So apparently this is somewhat of a powder and you add water to it to turn it into a cleanser. This could have some benefits because you could add as much or as little cleanser as you want. Dilute it a little to make it last longer. It also would make a good traveling face wash because you could empty a little of the powder into a baggie and take it with you on your vacation. 



As of right now, you can view the product, here, but it still says unavailable at the moment (2/9/12). It retails for $8, but you can always find coupons for sometimes $5 off $10 or 50% off and other random amounts.

MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj Lipstick Swatches, Pictures, Review

MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj releases on Febrary 15th, 2012 in stores. All proceeds goes to the AIDS funds as usual, so be sure to pick this up and donate to the cause.

Viva Glam Nicki Minaj Lipstick Swatch

As you can see in the picture above, Viva Glam Nicki is a light to medium pink with coral leans. It is a warm pink, very nice for spring and summer and is a shade almost anyone will be able to wear. In comparison to Viva Glam Gaga, this shade is much warmer and more coral, a little less bright, and not nearly as glossy. Viva Glam Nicki is Satin finish, so it is semi matte, whereas Gaga is a luster, so Gaga is much more shiny and glossy. I will probably do a side-by-side swatch comparison of the two as well. 

Also, in comparison to the new Shop MAC Cook MAC, Viva Glam Nicki is much warmer than Naughty Saute, it isn't as coral as Watch Me Sizzle.
